Privacy Policy — FLEX Library

This Privacy Policy describes how FLEX Library ("the app", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information. FLEX Library is a personal library management application that lets a library owner catalog books and manage member lending.

1. Information We Collect

• Account data: username and login credentials used to authenticate owner (admin) and member accounts.
• Member data: names and borrowing history that the owner enters to manage loans.
• Book data: book titles, authors, genres, ISBNs, and cover images you add.
• Camera: the camera is used only to scan barcodes / ISBNs for book entry. Camera images are not stored or transmitted as photos.
• Photos: book cover images you choose to upload.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide core app functionality: cataloging, lending, and tracking books and members.
• To authenticate users and secure access to your library data.
• To generate loan, overdue, and member reports within the app.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Data Storage and Security

Login credentials are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage. All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Your library data is stored on servers operated by the library owner / FLEX InfoSys.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties, except as required by law. Member data is visible only to the library owner (admin) and to the member it belongs to.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the email below.

6. Children's Privacy

FLEX Library is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Permissions Used

• Camera — barcode / ISBN scanning.
• Photos / media — selecting book cover images.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
